St. Jerome Student Council

St. Jerome Student Council is elected in the spring to serve for the following year.  They collaborate on events for all the students alongside the teachers and staff. The Executive Board is made up of: President, Vice President,  Secretary, Treasurer, Photographer, Publicity, Safety/Ecology, Religious Affairs, Assembly Commissioner,  Yearbook Committee, SLE Commissioners, and Class Representatives.

Student Council Committees

Eligible students in grades five through eight can apply for membership to:

Athletics Committee

  • Coordinates Field Day
  • Responsible for the inventory and upkeep of playground equipment.
  • Assist with Jog-A-Thon

Ecology Committee

As Stewards of the earth they manage the recycling program and maintain the school campus in an effort to be conscious of the environment.

Fundraising Committee

Plans fund raising events for Student Council and for various charitable organizations.

Liturgy Committee

  • Plan and lead Daily Prayer
  • Assist with liturgies throughout the year
  • Plan and implement social justice projects

Safety Committee

  • Assist the principal with safety related drills
  • Perform weekly safety inspection of campus

School Spirit

Coordinate Spirit Days and Pep Rallies and provides school spirit for each sports season

Service

As Stewards of Social Justice they provide service to any member of the school community

Yearbook (Jr High Only)

  • Photography responsibilities for all activities, clubs and school events
  • Creates and produces the School Yearbook
