Faith Formation

Saint Jerome’s Faith Formation

Welcome to Faith Formation at St. Jerome Parish.

Being a person of faith means looking at our actions and the world in a different way as all of life changes when we see things and people through the eyes of Jesus.

Faith formation is an integral part of the life of a Christian. We are formed in the life and teachings of Jesus so that we may become more attentive to the needs of the world; going beyond ourselves and living the Gospel in our homes and communities. This formation takes many shapes throughout the seasons of our lives, and we as a parish are committed to helping you grow in your faith and equip you to go out into the world, Seeing God in all and responding with compassion and service.

Faith Formation FAQs

How do I register my children for Faith Formation classes?

Registration for returning and new families is open in late May early June and is held on a weekend after all the Masses. Watch the Sunday Bulletin for registration dates and fees. Classes fill up very quickly and placement is based on a first come first served basis. Faith formation is offered for children in first grade through High School. Due to large enrollment numbers and space limitations, children registered after the initial registration process cannot be guaranteed placement.

When do I register my children for Sacraments?

In our parish Children begin preparation for First Reconciliation in the second grade or above and Confirmation and First Communion in the third grade or above.

Do my children have to attend Faith Formation after they have celebrated their Confirmation and First Communion?

Yes, because faith formation is a lifelong journey. Each year brings new opportunities and topics for children to learn about so that they can deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith.
