Athletics at Saint Jerome School

 

Saint Jerome students participate in the Catholic Youth Athletic Association (CYAA).

The athletic program at St. Jerome Catholic School stems from the mission and philosophy statement of the school. The end goals of the athletic program at St. Jerome Catholic School are to develop student provide aspiring athletes the opportunity to play a sport for their school, develop student skill, learn the value of teamwork, and prove athletes the opportunity to exercise good sportsmanship and fair play. The program expects excellence on the field as well as in the classroom.

All students who plan on playing a sport must have a sports physical completed and on file.  Students interested in participating in athletics can obtain all needed forms from the front office.  The cost for participating in a sport at St. Jerome Catholic School is $50/sport.  We also have a short season (fall) for boys and girls cross country which is $25.00 and a short season (winter) for boys and girls soccer for $25.00.

    • Boys: Flag Football

 

    • Girls: Volleyball

 

Winter Sports

Sports offered at Saint Jerome School during Winter months include:

    • Boys: Basketball Junior Varsity/Varsity 

 

    • Girls: Fast Pitch Softball

Interested in the Saint Jerome athletics?

Eligible students in grades 5th – 8th are given the opportunity to participate. Interested students may receive the opportunity to play on a school team and learn the fundamentals of the sport. Teams are coached by volunteers who lead after-school practices and schedule games with other schools that participate in the CYAA.
