The entrance to the Faith Formation Office is located across the plaza from the Church, in the Saint Jerome School building. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00-5:00 pm and Friday from 9:00-3:00 pm. The Office is closed from 12:00-1:00 pm daily for lunch.
The Faith Formation Office of Saint Jerome recognizes and holds strongly that you as parents are the primary spiritual directors of your children. We see our role to be supportive of your family’s faith development by empowering you and your children to share, celebrate and live your Catholic faith at home and in the world.
Your promise as a Catholic parent, the primary educator of your child, is to recommit to the promises you made at the time of their baptism.
“You have asked to have your child baptized. In doing so, you are accepting the responsibility of training them in the practice of the faith. It will be your duty to to bring them up to keep God’s commandments as Christ taught us, by loving God and neighbor.”
Registration begins after all the masses on August 1 and 2 in Hall A and again on August 8 and 9. Registration will then continue in the Faith Formation Office each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm until September 3, 2015. Please be sure that you are registered in the parish prior to registering for Faith Formation. New registrations require a copy of your child’s Birth AND Baptismal Certificates for our files.
The cost of the Children’s Faith Formation is $75.00 per child with a maximum fee of $200.00.
Classes for Elementary grades one through eight will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. High School sessions will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:0 p.m.
Our Faith Formation sessions are Lectionary Based. The Sunday Readings at mass for the upcoming Sunday are the foundation of our lessons and are the source of our Catholic Teachings.
All classes are held on the St. Jerome School Campus.
Please attend Mass with your children on a regular basis. Teach your children to contribute to the Church by using your envelopes weekly. Help them to understand that this community is built not only on our Treasure but on our Time and Talent shared for everyone by everyone. Parents must take the time to help their children learn and understand their prayers, be the example of living their faith in the world and encouragement in a world that does not always share the same values. Faith Formation will support you in all these things as we continue each year to learn more about God and our Church, pray the prayers, are respectful of one another and show our love of God and one another in a variety of ways.
