Father John Long, O.Carm. passed away late on the morning of August 26th, 2008. Father Long was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on November 20, 1927. He was ordained a priest on September 27, 1986 for the Order of Carmelites. He came to the Diocese of Phoenix in 1991 and was very involved with the Kino Institute as an instructor and director until he retired in 1998. Father Long assisted at Saint Agnes Parish and St. Jerome parish in Phoenix. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. The Funeral was held at St. Agnes Church on 9/3/08

Maria Cataldo, 63, of Phoenix passed away on August 10, 2008. Services have been held. Arrangements were entrusted to Regency Morturary, Donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Published in The Arizona Republic on 8/14/2008.
Maria was often seen at the 11:00am Mass until she got sick. Her friendly smile and greeting will be missed very much.... Dale
